Canon BP-511 battery charger
Made by Blumax, this small, stylish, and compact charger comes with both a UK mains plug and a 12V car charging lead, making it ideal as both a travel charger and a home charger.
The charger comes supplied with a charging plate designed specifically for each model of battery, ensuring your battery is a secure fit and held properly in place while charging.
Additionally, this charging plate is interchangeable, meaning that should you change your camera, or even buy a second camera, you do not need to buy a second charger - simply a new plate specific to your new camera's battery.
It is worth pointing out that this charger WILL charge a battery that has been completely discharged. Most Universal Chargers will not be able to charge a battery that is totally flat, as they automatically sense the polarity of the battery - and in order to do this, there needs to be at least a small amount of charge remaining in the battery. As this Blumax charger uses charging plates specific to each battery model, the correct polarity is already set by the plate, thus allowing the charger to charge a battery that has been completely discharged.
