The Canon PGi-29 Lucia Dark Grey Ink Tank is a monochrome pigment ink introduced with Canon's new 12 color LUCIA pigment ink system that helps professionals achieve gallery-quality result by increasing the color gamut in all directions. It expands the colour gamut with improved saturation to achieve the desired results for a deeper, darker, richer, truer blacks in greyscale photography.
As many professional photographers judge the overall effectiveness and ability of an inkjet printer based upon the output for a black-and-white image, the PGi-29DGY cartridge helps ensure photographers experience smooth gradations, suppressed graininess and a reduction in the bronzing and metamerism phenomenon which shows a metallic luster such as iridescence due to the colors in reflected light. These inks deliver enhanced, deep black density to raise your level of professional print quality when creating the dramatic expression of greyscale photography. Canon PGi-29 Lucia ink cartridges offer an increased colour gamut, by virtue of the 12 separate inks that make up the system. These include 5 monochrome ink cartridges, 6 colour ink cartridges, and a chroma optimizer:
- Five separate PGi-29 monochrome cartridges - two Blacks and three Greys - mean incredibly deep, dense blacks are possible, along with accurate and truly neutral monochromatic gradients and tones.
- Six separate PGi-29 colour cartridges - two Cyans, two Magentas, a Yellow and a Red - provide an increased colour gamut, improved skin tone reproduction, vibrant colours with stunning details.
- The separate PGi-29 Chroma Optimizer allows for bright, correctly saturated colours, while regulating surface reflections.
- The PGi-29 Lucia ink tanks are approximately 155% larger than ink tanks used in previous Canon Pixma Pro printers, providing better value for money, and ensuring less time is required replacing inks, guaranteeing more time spent printing, and less time spent charging ink cartridge!
