The legs of the Manfrotto 190XPROB can each be set independently at four different angles - 25, 46, 66 and 88 degrees. Flip lever leg locks make opening, positioning and closing fast and easy. The tension of the locking mechanism is user-adjustable, and all parts can be easily serviced or replaced.
The Manfrotto 190XPROB includes the patented Q90 system. This ingenious system allows the user to move the central column from vertical to horizontal position in just seconds without having to disassemble the column. The center column can be used horizontally as an extending arm, or vertically (both right-way-up and upside-down). When used horizontally, it can be turned through 360 degrees around the tripod, and is useful for macro work, low angle shooting, extreme balance points and off-centre work. This also makes the Manfrotto 190XPROB a helpful accessory for chair-bound photographers, who can sit beside instead of behind the tripod, therefore much closer to the camera viewfinder.
All in all, the Manfrotto 190XPROB is a very clever tripod which is, as you would expect from Manfrotto, it is beautifully made.
The 190XPROB uses a standard 3/8" male screw thread, for attaching a head to the tripod - meaning a massive choice of heads can be used. The most common heads paired with the Manfrotto 190XPROB are Manfrotto's 496RC2 ball head or Manfrotto's 804RC2 Three Way Pan and Tilt head .
