Trek-Tech Mag Mount STAR
The
MagMount STAR ball head weighs just 79g, and is capable of holding 4kg. As with the more expensive MagMount PRO, the MagMount STAR has a Square Tooth Anti Rotation (STAR) connection surface between the ball head and the MagAdapter quick release plate, to prevent the MagAdapter quick release plate and camera accidentally rotating on the ball head.
It connects to any tripod or monopod that has a 1/4" male thread.
The
MagMount STAR comes with two MagAdapter quick release plates - one
MagAdapter LIGHT FORCE and one
MagAdapter STAR . These are also available separately should you require replacements, spares, or wish to equip multiple cameras with quick release plates.

The unique
MagMount quick release system incorporates a Neodymium "super magnet" as the initial connection between the ball head and a steel quick-release plate, called a
MagAdapter , that screws into the bottom of your camera. A safety clip that stores below the ball head securely locks your device to the
MagMount ball head. Each
MagMount ball head is supplied with two
MagAdapter quick release plates.
