The Vanguard
Alta+ (AltaPlus) range of tripods are essentially the same as the 2009 TIPA Best Accessory award-winning Vanguard
AltaPRO tripod range, only without the Multi-Angle-Central Column.
The
Alta+ tripods have a more conventional centre column design, yet the column can be split and/or reversed as desired, allowing extreme low angle work.
Alta+ tripods also retain the other features found in the more expensive
AltaPRO range:
- Independent height adjustable legs
- Independent angle adjustable legs (25, 50 and 80 degrees)
- Patented
magnesium die-cast canopy, not cheaper aluminium castings as with almost all other sub-£200 tripods.
- Spiked metal
and rubber feet included.
- Non-slip all-weather rubberised foam leg warmers make the tripod easier to handle in extreme hot or cold conditions.
- Anti-shock central column ring - helps prevent damaging your equipment if you accidentally loosen the central column too quickly.
